\"Lucy<\/a>Oklahoma-based Manhattan Construction Company Project Manager Lucy Lambert-Novotny has received The Associated General Contractors of Oklahoma (AGCOK)<\/em> 2019 \u201cCommittee Member of the Year\u201d award.<\/p>\n

Lambert-Novotny is currently the chairperson for the Workforce Development Committee at AGCOK. Under Lucy\u2019s leadership, the Workforce Development Committee, in partnership with Junior Achievement, launched a job shadow program that introduces middle and high school students to the commercial construction industry. She received the \u201cCommittee Member of the Year\u201d honor for creating the program template that includes bringing students to a job site, providing students with an overview of the industry, a panel discussion from the project foreman and a tour of the job site.<\/p>\n

\u201cLucy\u2019s efforts in creating this program have been a huge success and have helped young students become aware of the different careers in the industry and to consider it as a viable path for a future profession,\u201d said Craig Abbott, Manhattan Construction Company vice president.<\/p>\n
