Davis, Oklahoma \u2013 The Chickasaw Nation held a groundbreaking ceremony this week for two new facilities at the southwest corner of\u00a0 Interstate-35 and State Highway 7 at Exit 55 in Davis, Okla.<\/p>\n

Manhattan Construction Co. has been selected to build the project that includes a Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center as well as a new Bedr\u00e9 Chocolate factory. Bedr\u00e9, Oklahoma\u2019s only chocolate factory, provides chocolate products to several high-end retail clients nationwide. The new facility will replace the factory currently located in Paul\u2019s Valley and provide space for expansion of the Bedr\u00e9 line.<\/p>\n

The new Welcome Center will provide information about the many attractions in the Chickasaw Nation, including the Chickasaw Cultural Center, Turner Falls, and Boggy Depot Park.<\/p>\n

It will take approximately nine months to build the two new facilities, which feature a gift shop, children\u2019s playground, dog park. The new factory and welcome center expect up to 25,000 visitors a week.<\/p>\n

The groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday, October 17th.<\/p>\n
