Manhattan Road & Bridge Company History<\/h1>\n

Manhattan Road & Bridge Company\u2019s operations began in 1956 as M.J. Lee Construction Company, named after its founder. During the next four decades, the Lee Family constructed the majority of bridges and overpasses in Tulsa County and Rogers County.<\/p>\n

In 1999, the Rooney family and Manhattan Construction purchased M.J. Lee adding heavy civil and highway construction to their market segment services. This growth strategy continued with the acquisition of Southern Pavers in 2008, and Muskogee Road & Bridge in 2009 to form Manhattan Road & Bridge Company. <\/p>\n

By 2015, Manhattan Road & Bridge Company had 500 employees and completed numerous high-profile roadway projects in Oklahoma and Arkansas, including the SkyDance Bridge, a 380-foot-long pedestrian scissortail flycatcher design inspired bridge on I-40 in Oklahoma City, the I-44 Westbound multi-modal, double-decker replacement bridge over the Arkansas River in Tulsa and the \u201cBig Rock\u201d Interchange in Little Rock, Arkansas. Manhattan Road & Bridge expanded to Florida in 2015, opening an office in Ft. Myers.<\/p>\n

Manhattan Road & Bridge Company was ranked 7th on the Engineering News-Record (ENR)\u2019s Top Contractor in Transportation \u2013 Bridges in the nation list in 2019. Headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma with regional offices in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Springdale, Arkansas; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Ft. Myer\u2019s, Florida; Manhattan Road and Bridge has the ability to complete projects throughout the South and the Southeastern United States.<\/p>\n\n\n
