Marco Marriott 90 Day Project

The Marriott Hotel closed for 90 days during the summer of 2015 with the replacement of numerous storefronts and curtainwall. Unique products included the triangularly shaped curtainwall as well as three aluminum trellises with butt-glazed glass skylights and glass guardrails at rooftop terraces. This project highlights one of the largest revolving doors in Florida. To make the 16’- diameter automatic revolving door meet the impact rating required by the Florida Building Code, Armor Shield’s ArmorPanel, a PVC-coated fabric storm panel with Kevlar, is temporarily installed whenever the threat of hurricane-force weather arises.
