The Riffort Renaissance Resort or Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino project is on a ten-acre reclaimed site where a power generating plant once stood. The site was transformed with three new multi-use structures along with a man made tropical beach, pool complex and park. The two main buildings, the hotel and garage, include colorful facades that match the historic architecture of the Willemstad area. The 250,000-square-foot, four-story hotel includes 223 guest rooms, 14 guest suites, dining, a casino, a fitness center, a conference center and retail shops. The five-story, 215,000-square-foot garage houses a multi-screen cinema and retail shops with a 500-car parking capacity. The new Boulevard, adorned with palm trees and tropical landscaping, leads past the Hotel Porte Cochere and Garage Entry to the Renaissance Plaza. The Plaza features a 16-jet fountain and multi-colored pavers stage area. The beach and park area include a zero-entry salt water lagoon pool, a fresh water pool and an outside bar and grille, all surrounded with tropical landscaping. Both the salt water and fresh water pools have infinity walls overlooking the blue Caribbean Sea.
