The ODOT I-44 Southbound Red River Crossing project includes demolition of an existing bridge and construction of a new 3,918-foot-long bridge. The project includes 15,600 feet of pre-stressed concrete beams (Type IV), 3,509 cubic yards of class AA concrete (bridge deck), 1,475 cubic yards of class A concrete (Piers, Abutments), 5,164 feet of 48 inch diameter drilled shafts (single cased method), 7,968 foot concrete parapet wall (bridge), 1,289,704 pounds of reinforcing steel and extensive quality control & assurance program (including use of Concrete Maturity Meters), including bridge deck smoothness profilographing.
