SH-99/US-377 over Lake Texoma

Willis Bridge
Willis, OK

This project replaced the 60-year-old Willis Bridge. The original bridge spanned 5,425 feet and was replaced with a new bridge measuring 5,461 feet. Additionally, 3,355 feet of roadway was replaced, resulting in a total project length of 8,816 feet.

The work involved in this project included the construction of 78 drilled shaft foundations, with depths ranging from 46 to 130 feet. Other activities encompassed pile driving, the erection of concrete girders, cast-in-place concrete work, earthwork, and concrete paving. The project also included removing the existing bridge. A significant amount of concrete from the old bridge was left in the lake to create fish habitat areas.
