Lewis Bridge over 1-44

Manhattan Road & Bridge, with joint venture partner Allen Contracting, worked on the fourth and final phase of the I-44 widening project encompassing the Lewis Avenue corridor portion (Lewis Bridge over 1-44). The project included the replacement of Lewis Avenue Bridge over 1-44 and realigned a curve in the interstate, moving the entire freeway to the south of the old Lewis Avenue Bridge. Other work included safety improvements to the ramps and frontage roads and the replacement of the Lewis Avenue Bridge over 1-44. Construction on this project completed in June of 2015.
