Cantera Concrete Company wins National Safety Honor and ABC “Excellence in Construction” award

TULSA, OKLAHOMA – The Associated Builders & Contractors of Oklahoma (ABC) has honored Cantera Concrete Company with the ABC Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Silver Award, and the “Excellence in Construction” (EIC) award for the Vision Tulsa Modernization of the Existing Cox Business Center project in Tulsa Oklahoma.

This is Cantera’s 15th  consecutive year to be recognized by ABC’s STEP Awards program, a world-class safety management system that measures safety processes and policies.

The EIC awards recognize outstanding projects built by members of the association. The awards were presented at the 2020 ABC Construction Awards Banquet held Thursday, October 22, at the Osage Casino Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Cantera Concrete Company won the “Excellence In Construction” award in the “Specialty Construction, Concrete” category for their work on the Vision Tulsa Modernization of the Existing Cox Business Center project.

The company performed concrete work related to the demolition and renovation of the original arena to lower level storage and a 40,000-square-foot ballroom above with street-level access, and the placement of a new three-story clear lobby entrance with a new plaza with access up to the plaza between the Tulsa Library and the Tulsa County Courthouse.
