The Marco Island Hilton 11th floor renovation and addition involved demolishing the existing rooms and finishes on the 11th floor and recapturing the existing balcony space to create additional penthouse style units. This was a fast-track project, as the owner was losing rental revenues while the construction is underway. The project also required coordination with other contractors working on site that were outside of our contractual scope. The building is more than 30 years old, and there have been multiple code revisions over that time period. Although the hotel was closed during the renovation, the hotel staff was still working on site.
