AGC Names Manhattan's John Jamison "Builder of the Year"

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. –Manhattan Construction Co. Oklahoma City area vice president, John Jamison has been named “2010 Builder of the Year” by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Oklahoma. The award is the highest honor given to an individual by the organization and recognizes an industry leader each year who exemplifies the AGC’s attributes of skill, integrity and responsibility. Jamison received this honor for his more than 40 years of dedication and commitment to the construction industry. The official recognition took place during the AGC of Oklahoma’s 2010 Awards Banquet at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino near Tulsa, Oklahoma in January.

“We are pleased to see that John’s professionalism and experience are recognized by his peers and the Associated General Contractors,” said John Snyder, Manhattan’s Oklahoma division president.  “Jamison has devoted his life to the construction of quality structures and to delivering the best project for every one of our customers.  He is very deserving of the recognition.” added Mr. Snyder.

Jamison is one of a handful of certified Design-Build professionals in the State and is also a certified Professional Estimator. He received his Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1967, and served as an officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with overseas duty in Korea and continued his service with the Oklahoma Army Guard.
