Lucy Lambert-Novotny Named AGCOK 2019 Committee Member of the Year
Oklahoma-based Manhattan Construction Company Project Manager Lucy Lambert-Novotny has received The Associated General Contractors of Oklahoma (AGCOK) 2019 “Committee Member of the Year” award.
Lambert-Novotny is currently the chairperson for the Workforce Development Committee at AGCOK. Under Lucy’s leadership, the Workforce Development Committee, in partnership with Junior Achievement, launched a job shadow program that introduces middle and high school students to the commercial construction industry. She received the “Committee Member of the Year” honor for creating the program template that includes bringing students to a job site, providing students with an overview of the industry, a panel discussion from the project foreman and a tour of the job site.
“Lucy’s efforts in creating this program have been a huge success and have helped young students become aware of the different careers in the industry and to consider it as a viable path for a future profession,” said Craig Abbott, Manhattan Construction Company vice president.
