Manhattan Construction Breaks Ground on New Cherokee County Water & Sewerage Authority Headquarters
Leading Atlanta firm celebrates construction start on $27 million public project
BALL GROUND, GEORGIA (Dec. 19, 2025) — Manhattan Construction Company, one of the nation’s leading construction services firms, in partnership with CROFT Architects, joined Cherokee County Water and Sewerage Authority (CCWSA) officials and community leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new CCWSA Administrative Complex in Ball Ground, Georgia. The headquarters is expected to open in March 2027.
The $27 million project will consolidate CCWSA operations currently housed in three separate buildings across Canton into a single, modern campus designed to enhance collaboration and deliver greater efficiency for Cherokee County residents.
Building for the Future
Located northeast of the corner of Airport Drive and Wilbanks Drive, the new multi-level 50,000-square-foot headquarters, including approximately 10,000 square feet of shell space, will feature a boardroom and offices for general management, accounting, billing, Capital Improvements, construction, customer Service, environmental Affairs, GIS, human resources, technology and special projects.
The campus will also include a 3,500-square-foot laboratory with a receiving area and a 1,700-square-foot maintenance building featuring an outdoor vehicle wash bay.
