Manhattan Construction Co. wins ABC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter Excellence in Construction Awards for Villemaire Bus Transportation Project and Tampa Monorail Decommissioning and Moving Walkways Installation Project

TAMPA, FLORIDA – The Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Florida Gulf Coast Chapter has honored Manhattan Construction Company with two “Excellence in Construction®” (EIC) Eagle awards. The “Excellence in Construction” Awards celebrate the best in Merit Shop Construction – honoring the year’s most outstanding construction projects and contractors for their remarkable achievements in leadership, safety, and innovation. The awards were presented at the ABC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter 2025 Excellence in Construction Awards Gala on Friday, May 2nd, at the Hilton Downtown in Tampa, Florida.

Villemaire Bus Transportation Project in Apollo Beach won in the “Pre-Engineered Building Over $20 Million” category.

Built by Manhattan Construction Company, designed by Wilder Architecture, Inc., and engineered by Master Consulting Engineers, the project includes a

41,500-square-foot, new Pre-Engineered 18-bay Bus Fleet Maintenance facility and tire storage building, flammable storage, lift station, repair facility, fueling station, bus wash, mezzanine storage, offices, training room, bus lifts, breakrooms, and modifications to US Highway 41 for Hillsborough County Public Schools.

in the long- and short-term parking garages at Tampa International Airport. It includes full decommissioning and demolition of the existing monorail & track system between the garages, accompanied by the addition of new moving walkways on Level 4 of the long-term parking garage.
