Manhattan Construction Company awarded AGCOK “Build Oklahoma” awards and “Best of the Best” Top Honor
TULSA, OKLAHOMA – The Associated General Contractors of Oklahoma (AGCOK) has honored Manhattan Construction Company with Build Oklahoma awards and the prestigious Best of the Best top honor for projects completed in 2022. The awards were presented to team members at the AGC of Oklahoma’s 83rd Annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Oklahoma City Convention Center.
The Build Oklahoma awards recognize outstanding projects built by members of the association. The Best of the Best award further recognizes a Build Oklahoma award-winning project that was exceptional and worthy of additional recognition. The Oklahoma State Capitol Restoration – Interior Rehabilitation project won Best of the Best honors in the $50M+ category.

Oklahoma State Capitol Restoration – Interior Rehabilitation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in the “Historic—$50M+ category” category and the top honor, “Best of the Best, $50M+” category.
This Design-Build Rehabilitation was completed by Manhattan Construction Company and designed by FSB Architects. The project consisted of repairing and replacing the backbone infrastructure, MEP and HVAC systems, and adding a climate control system for the rotunda. Also included in the rehabilitation was the addition of new fire alarms and sprinkler systems throughout, upgrades to public restrooms, the addition of LED lighting, control systems, and occupancy sensors, and converting the basement into a new visitor level. |

Brown-Kimbrough Center for the Creative Arts in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in the “Commercial—up to $5 million” category.
Built by Manhattan Construction Company, designed by Selser Schaefer Architects, and engineered by Wallace Design Collective, the Brown-Kimbrough Center for Creative Arts is a new two-story, 15,522-square-foot facility that serves as a hub for enhancing arts education for Broken Arrow Public Schools students and community members through both adult and children’s classes for ceramics, watercolors, drawing, music, paper mâché, meditation, and more. |

NOUN Hotel in Norman, Oklahoma, in the “Commercial—$10-$20 million” category.
Built by Manhattan Construction Company, designed by GH2 Architects and engineered by DCI Engineers, the new NOUN boutique hotel sits adjacent to the University of Oklahoma (OU) campus. The four-story, 75,000-square-foot hotel has 98 guest rooms custom-designed with king and queen guestrooms, and junior and one-bedroom suites. The spacious lobby includes 15-foot-high ceilings, high-end lighting with a 3,000-square-foot upscale restaurant and bar with a private space for dinners and meetings. The second floor includes a 3,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor covered bar overlooking the University of Oklahoma and Campus with beautiful Oklahoma sunsets. |

WinStar Global Event Center in Thackerville, Oklahoma, in the “Commercial—$20-$50 million” category.
Renovations were provided by Manhattan Construction Company and designed by FSB Architects. The 70,263 square foot improvement provides a new gaming floor with a 6-inch raised access floor, a contemporary restaurant, and a dining area that will offer a full-service kitchen, bar with seating area, two service bars, back-of-house corridors and new elevators. In addition, the new build-out consists of a 51,322 square feet second-level mezzanine for new office space and training rooms. |
