Manhattan Construction Company Receives Excellence in Construction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors of Arkansas
Hot Springs, Arkansas – Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Arkansas announced that Manhattan Construction Company’s work on the Faulkner Performing Arts Center at the University of Arkansas has earned the company first place in the category of Historical Restoration/Renovation Over $10 M in ABC’s Excellence in Construction awards. Manhattan Construction accepted the award on April 9th during the annual ‘Excellence in Construction’ celebration at the Clarion Resort on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, AR.
“ABC congratulates Manhattan Construction for their outstanding work on the Faulkner Performing Arts Center,” said Bill Roachell, ABC Arkansas President. “This project is a true example of exceptional craftsmanship and professionalism that defines merit shop construction. It is an honor for the association to recognize this project with our top construction excellence award.”
ABC Arkansas designed the Excellence in Construction program to recognize excellent performance in the merit shop construction field. The award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. This year’s competition was open to all construction projects completed by ABC member firms during 2015. The winning projects were selected from entries submitted from across the state and were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.
The owner of this project is the University of Arkansas. The architectural/engineering firm was Allison Architects, Inc.
