Manhattan Construction Company wins two ABC Greater Houston “Excellence in Construction®” Merit awards
HOUSTON, TEXAS – The Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Greater Houston has honored Manhattan Construction Company with two “Excellence in Construction®” (EIC) Merit awards. The “Excellence in Construction” Awards celebrate the best in Merit Shop Construction – honoring the year’s most outstanding construction projects and contractors for their remarkable achievements in leadership, safety, and innovation. The awards were presented at the ABC Greater Houston 2024 Excellence in Construction Awards Gala on Friday, September 20th, at the Omni Hotel in Houston, Texas.

Texas A&M University Bright Area Redevelopment | Kyle Field Luxury Suites in College Station won in the “General Contractor | Institutional, $20 to $30 Million” category.
Built by Manhattan Construction Company, designed by Populous, and engineered by Walter P. Moore, the project added 23 new indoor luxury suites to the south side of the Texas A&M University football stadium. The new luxury suites include 22 suites that seat 17 to 40 fans and one “mega-suite” that can fit 80 people. It integrated a new floor level into Kyle Field’s existing structure between what was once Levels 300 and 400.
Texas A&M University Bright Area Redevelopment | Indoor Practice Facility in College Station won in the “General Contractor | Institutional, Over $50 Million” category.
Built by Manhattan Construction Company, designed by Populous, and engineered by Walter P. Moore, the new 122,500-square-foot two-story building is a major upgrade from the program’s previous smaller practice facility. It features an extended 160-yard athletic turf field, designed to be the largest premier indoor practice field in the SEC and the nation, with elevated observation terraces running the length of the field and two 160-yard outdoor practice fields.
