Manhattan Construction Company wins two Collier Building Industry Association “Sand Dollar Awards”

NAPLES, FLORIDA – Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) has honored Manhattan Construction Company with two 2020 “Sand Dollar Awards.” The “Sand Dollar Awards” are presented each year to member builders, developers, architects, remodelers, interior design firms, landscape architects, trades, marketing, sales, and advertising professionals who have demonstrated building, design, and marketing excellence in Collier County. The awards were presented during the organization’s virtual gala Saturday, October 24, 2020.

Manhattan Construction Company was honored with “Sand Dollar Awards” for their work on the following projects:

Best Public Facility –  Over  $5-million category: Baker Park in Naples, Florida.

Baker Park is a 14-acre park that a 34-foot high-elevated knoll overlook with space for art displays, a performance stage, splash pad, rubber surfaces, artificial turf, an event building, event lawn, marsh overlook, sunrise terrace, multiple playgrounds, a kayak launch, and family restrooms. The project is surrounded by an environmentally sensitive area with mangroves. Native vegetation was used throughout with educational signage. The park itself is open to the public while the event building is rented out for various occasions. The event space includes attached restrooms and a catering kitchen.

Best Healthcare Facility – $5 to $15-million category: Nichols Community Health Center in Naples, Florida.

Nichols Community Health Center is a three-story medical office building for Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida located at the corner of Green and Collier boulevards in Collier County, Florida. The 52,115-square-foot building offers an array of outpatient care services such as pediatric, dental, mental health, behavioral, as well as a full pharmacy with drive-thru. Room types include offices, exam rooms, dental exam rooms, dental operating rooms, denture lab, nurse stations, x-ray rooms, waiting rooms, triage areas, ultrasound room, pharmacy, lactation areas, a catering kitchen, conferences rooms, and a boardroom.
