Manhattan Construction Drives For a Cause

Houston, Texas – Manhattan Construction Co. is pleased to announce that company’s eighth-annual charity golf tournament has raised $55,000 for the benefit of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). MDA sponsors research to find a cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Over 200 participants attended the golf event at Cypresswood Golf Club on Friday, November 14th.  Since its inception, the Manhattan’s annual charity event has raised $210,000 for MDA.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency working to defeat muscular dystrophy and related diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. About 250,000 people have some form of muscular dystrophy. MDA is the first non-profit agency to be recognized by the American Medical Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award for “significant and lasting contributions to the health and welfare of humanity.”
