Manhattan Construction promotes Clay Cockrill as OKC director of business development

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA – Oklahoma-based Manhattan Construction Company, a top nationally-ranked general building company, has announced the promotion of Clay Cockrill as director of business development for the company’s Oklahoma City office, which serves central Oklahoma. In this role, Cockrill is responsible for growing the company’s client base and maintaining existing client relationships.

During his 28-year career in the construction industry, Cockrill has worked in project management and business development roles. Most recently, he served as project director for Manhattan’s Oklahoma City office and has ten years of experience in client relations positions managing key client relationships.

Cockrill serves on the boards of Cleats for Kids, the Commerce Bank Board of Advisors, and as vice president of Rebuilding Together, OKC. He is a 2016 Clyde Riggs Volunteer of the Year Award winner and a 2011 OKC Biz Forty under 40 honoree. He is a member of Leadership Oklahoma City Class of 31 and OKC Rotary Club 29.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction science from The University of Oklahoma. He is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Manager Certification Institute, and DBIA Designated Design-Build Professional by the Design-Build Institute of America.
