Manhattan Construction promotes Matt Jones to Executive Vice President
Manhattan Construction Co., a top nationally-ranked construction firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Jones to executive vice president. In his new role, Jones will be responsible for the company’s project controls, legal and risk management, project scheduling, project finance, and accounting to ensure the company’s clients receive quality construction services. Before his promotion, Jones served as senior vice president of project controls.
“For the last decade, Matt has evolved and enhanced our project controls systems with great success, which has improved the efficiency of our project teams and delivery of construction services to our clients. In his expanded role, Matt will lead operationally focused strategic initiatives supporting all Manhattan regions and projects,” said John Reyhan, Manhattan Construction Company president.
Jones has worked in the construction industry for 31 years. He joined Manhattan in 2014 and specializes in leading project management process standards, systems implementation, and operations. Throughout his career, he has worked on a diverse range of project types, including city, state, and federal government, higher education, aviation, sports, healthcare, commercial office, multi-unit living, cultural/museum, warehouse, and others. He is an industry expert, guest presenter, and lecturer at Georgia Tech’s civil engineering department and other STEM-focused education programs. Additionally, he has served as an instructor on business ethics, code of conduct, construction financials, scheduling, and injury-free environments. Jones is also a community volunteer for various organizations, including Atlanta’s GlenCastle, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Atlanta Union Mission, and Camp Twin Lakes.
Jones earned his Bachelor of Science in building construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a licensed general contractor in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
