Manhattan Construction team wins Dallas Topping Out “Top 10” Award for George W. Bush Presidential Center project
DALLAS – Manhattan Construction Co. has been honored with a “Top 10” award from the Dallas-based Topping Out awards program for construction of the George W. Bush Presidential Center located in University Park, Texas. Manhattan Construction provided construction management services on the 226,500-square-foot project which has drawn a national audience and tourism to the Dallas community and has been nationally recognized for its sustainability and design features. Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates provided design services for the building and 23-acre landscape. Manhattan celebrated the completion of the Center in April, 2013.

“We could not be more proud of the impact the project has both locally and nationally, and will have for many years to come,” said Manhattan Construction Senior Vice President Mark Penny.
The Topping Out awards program was created by an alumni group of the University of Texas at Arlington School of Architecture and The Arc – an organization to support and empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Topping Out has been awarding top and outstanding projects in the North Texas area since 2002. The awards program is judged by industry and architecture and design professionals.
The eleventh annual Topping Out award ceremony was held at Dallas’ Trinity Groves on October 28, 2014.
