Manhattan Construction wins AGCOK “Best of the Best” project honor and four “Build Oklahoma” awards
TULSA, OKLAHOMA – Oklahoma-based Manhattan Construction Company, a top nationally-ranked general building company, has been honored by the Associated General Contractors of Oklahoma (AGCOK) with the “Best of the Best” top honor and four “Build Oklahoma” awards for projects completed in 2019. AGCOK’s awards program represents the best of the best commercial building projects in the state. The awards were presented to team members at the AGC of Oklahoma’s annual banquet on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Manhattan Construction Company received the “Best of the Best” award in the $50+ million project category for the McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The “Best of the Best” award further recognizes a “Build Oklahoma” award-winning project that was truly exceptional and worthy of additional recognition.

The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, in the “Education $50+ million” category.
The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University is a state-of-the-art facility that encourages discovery, pushes educational boundaries and redefines Oklahoma State’s influence in the arts with world-class programming that is unique to the region. Built by Manhattan Construction Company, designed by Beck Design and engineered by Walter P. Moore, this 65,000-square-foot, one-of-a-kind project consists of a 1,200-seat auditorium, a 217-seat recital hall, a lobby and support areas. The site also has an exterior amphitheater with state-of-the-art display and sound adjacent to University Avenue, a main corridor of campus.
Oklahoma State University Soccer Facility – Neal Patterson Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma, in the “Recreational $10 – $20 million” category.
The new home for Oklahoma State University Soccer includes four new buildings. Built by Manhattan Construction Company, designed by Studio Architecture and engineered by Wallace Engineering, the West Grand Stand is the principal building and includes home, visitor and official locker rooms, a team meeting room, a training room, a kitchen, lounge, and club/multi-purpose room. The upper level of the West Grandstand houses suites, press boxes, and club level seating. Two other structures, west of the Grandstand, have new restroom facilities, concession stands, and ticket sales. On the North end of the field is the ‘Cowgirl Cauldron,’ which has a bar area with private stadium-style seating. The complex also includes a new surface parking area with space for over 200 vehicles. A 30′ x 40′ video scoreboard was added to enhance the fan experience during the matches.
SEVEN6MAIN in Owasso, Oklahoma, in the “Commercial $10 – $20 million” category.
Built by Manhattan Construction Company, designed by Selser Schaefer Architects, and engineered by Wallace Engineering, this project includes a 41,000-square-foot commercial and residential project in Owasso’s downtown Rosebud District. The three-story, brick facade complex also features restaurant SMOKE and a new diner MAD EATS, retail space, office space for tenant build-out and ten luxury apartments, each with a detached garage.
Cherokee Nation Entertainment Tahlequah Casino in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, in the “Commercial $20 – $50 million” category.
Manhattan Construction Company in a mentor-protégé agreement with Foreman Construction Management & Consulting, known as Foreman | Manhattan Construction Team, served as construction manager, Childers Architect was the architect, and Chavez Grieves was the engineer for this project. The new 93,000-square-foot entertainment destination for the Cherokee Nation features 525 electronic games, an upscale steakhouse, live music venue and 33,000 square feet of convention and meeting space that can accommodate up to 1,000 people.
