Manhattan Construction Wins Four AGC Build Oklahoma Project Honors
TULSA, Okla. – The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Oklahoma has honored Oklahoma-based Manhattan Construction Company with four Build Oklahoma Awards.
AGC’s Build Oklahoma Awards represents the “Best of the Best” commercial building projects. Manhattan Construction Co. received AGC Build Oklahoma Awards for:
- Saint Francis Hospital/Trauma Emergency Center project in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the “Mega-Projects” category. The eight-story addition accommodates a new emergency department, a 150-patient bed tower, a new campus chapel, and a new women’s convent. Manhattan Construction was the construction manager and Page Southern Page was the architect.
- Osler Hotel Renovation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the “Historical Restoration $2-$10 Million” category. Manhattan renovated the seven-story historic building originally constructed in 1928 for Coury Properties, Inc. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and is noted as the best local example of Mission/Spanish Colonial Revival architecture. Preservation and Design Studio was the architect for the renovation project.
- St. John Family Medical Care Clinic – Riverside in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the “Healthcare $5-$10 Million” category. The clinic will be used as a primary care medical clinic that consists of exam rooms, doctor’s offices, nurse stations and a radiology suite. Manhattan Construction was the construction manager and Kinslow, Keith and Todd was the architect.
- University of Oklahoma Hester Hall Renovation for College of International Studies in Norman, Oklahoma in the “Education $5-$10 Million category. The renovation includes complete gutting and floor plan reconfiguring of an existing 88-year-old structure to create space for the College of International Studies. Manhattan Construction was the construction manager and Bockus Payne Associates Architects was the architect.
Team members from Manhattan Construction Co. were presented the honors at the AGC Build Oklahoma Awards Banquet held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center.
