The River Spirit Margaritaville Phase II project is an expansion of the River Spirit Casino for the Muscogee Creek Nation. The hotel and casino construction included more than 1.2 million square feet of new space and a 1,200-space parking garage addition.
The new facility features a Margaritaville Casino, Margaritaville restaurant, a 2,500-seat theater, and first-class convention and ballroom spaces. The defining feature is the 483-room, 27-story hotel tower enabling the casino to accommodate overnight guests. The exterior facade is a mixture of stone, glass, and precast panels, with the most visible element being the glass curtain wall utilized on three sides of the hotel tower. The tower is a cast-in-place concrete structure, while the remaining buildings are structural steel and composite slab construction.
Other features of the new facility are the new connector valet drive that provides unity across a large campus and the outdoor Arkansas River waterfront area complete with swimming pools and a Landshark beach bar.
The expansion at River Spirit also included various interior remodels to the existing Casino bringing new venues and amenities such as the new 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar, Johnny Rockets, a new Players Club, and a relocated Table Games area.
