WinStar World Casino and Resort is known for the exceptional hospitality they offer. Recently, they renovated the existing WinStar Global Event Center space to add a new Rome-themed gaming plaza. To complement the added gaming opportunities, the Hudson Bar on the casino floor offers a comfortable setting where visitors can enjoy all the action. And when hunger strikes, the Neon Pig restaurant serves up classic Southern barbecue that will satisfy any appetite. The award-winning WinStar Global Event Center Renovation was unique, as it had to be completed within a tight schedule due to ongoing casino operations. Despite the challenges, the team managed to provide a new gaming floor with a six-inch raised access floor, a contemporary restaurant, and a dining area that offers a full-service kitchen, a bar with a seating area, and two service bars. The second-level mezzanine comprises new office space and training rooms totaling 51,322 square feet. Some noteworthy features of the renovation include 18 custom decorative chandeliers throughout the gaming area, roughly 2300 new slot machines, and imported custom carpets from Italy and Asia. The team also added a new rooftop air handling system with structural steel frames, which includes a new chilled water supply and return vertical risers with horizontal piping. Overall, the Global Event Center Renovation is an impressive accomplishment that has added to WinStar’s already exceptional experience to its visitors.
