Gordon River Greenway Park

Naples, Florida

The Gordon River Greenway Park (GRGP) project covers approximately 124 acres located near the southeast quadrant of the Goodlette-Frank Road/Golden Gate Parkway intersection. It includes the West Node to the West off of Goodlette-Frank Road at the South side of the Naples Zoo and a Northeast Node to the northeast along Golden Gate Parkway just west of the Bear’s Paw Development.

The components include meandering walkways, nature trails, boardwalks, shade structures, restrooms, maintenance storage building, pavilions, stormwater treatment areas, a fishing platform, parking facilities, two wood pedestrian bridges, a canoe/kayak launch facility lighting, landscaping, exotic plant removal, storm drainage, water and sewer, a new Naples Zoo parking lot and entrance with associated turn lanes.

This project is the extension of Freedom Park, also built by Manhattan, as part of the overall ‘Greenway’ plan to continue south to downtown Naples. The project extends south along the Gordon River from Golden Gate Parkway past the Naples Zoo and Conservancy to the Naples Airport.
