History

Under the ownership and management of the Rooney family for five generations, Manhattan team members focus on the timeless qualities of building trust while providing exceptional construction services. This blueprint for business has guided the company through more than a century of market fluctuations. Founded in 1896, Manhattan Construction Company is the flagship of the organization. After becoming well known in the general construction field, Manhattan Construction Group was formed to serve as the parent company of Manhattan Construction Company and affiliate operations catering to multiple segments of the building industry. Today, Manhattan Construction Group also includes Manhattan Road & Bridge Company, Manhattan International, Manhattan Pipeline, LLC, Cantera Concrete Company, Safe Zone, LLC, and Spectrum Contracting.
